If your Bat Mitzvah has a sweet tooth (know any who don't?) then you might want to consider having a candy themed event; the possibilities are endless. From logo to signage to giveaways, working around a candy coated event is tons of fun and will satisfy the cravings of even the most discerning candy loving teen.
Getting Started Develop a theme "name" -- our daughter, Danielle, loved the idea of "Daniland" (think Candyland in a more sophisticated way) Develop a "logo" that incorporates your theme - ask an artistic friend or family member for help if you are looking to save money
Find a Venue Need table decor, room signage, place cards, themed giveaways, party favors
Invitations Use colors from theme and logo Personalize postage stamps with theme --
Candy Depending on what you decide to do, there are a number of wholesale candy options as well as bulk candy retailers and of course, don't forget your local dollar store.
Some ideas: Custom candy bar wrappers Personalized m&ms Candy bar (buffet table) Gumball machines Candy vending machines
Setting up the Candy Bar You can use any type of glass bowl, jar or vase that has a wide enough opening to get a scoop or hand into Michael's and the dollar stores are great options for inexpensive containers -- The Dollar Tree has multiple locations around town Borrow from friends and family Organize the candy and "layout" of the buffet ahead of time -- I used my dining room table as a work area. This way you can see how much you have, what candy works in which bowl, etc. Variety is the key -- use different size containers and different types of candy both wrapped and unwrapped Coordinate candy colors to your theme
