Fabulous Kids' Parties on a Budget
You can throw a fabulous party for your son/daughter for under $5.00 per child.  Budget allowing, for just a few more dollars, you'll be amazed at what you can do for under $10.00 per child.  With a little creativity and advance planning you can put together a party that the birthday child will remember for a long time to come and your young guests will go home happy and exhilarated.
This series will aim to give you the tools to make it easy to please the kids and you'll feel like a hero.  We are always looking for new ideas, so if you've been to a unique kid's birthday party or thrown one yourself that you're particularly proud of, please send in your ideas to info@partyplanningplus.com and we will do our best to publish your ideas.  Remember, this is all about doing it up right on a budget.

Ultimate Kids' Cooking Party

Activities:
Make your own pizza, fruit kabobs & ice cream sundaes, create paper chef's hats, pin the slice on the pizza, hot potato
Favors: Mixing cup, measuring spoons, rolling pin, wooden spoon, apron
Food: Pizza, fruit kabobs, ice cream sundaes
Decor: Italian restaurant style with red & white checked table cloth, centerpiece using small cardboard pizza box, balloons weighted down by a can of tomatoes and a bud vase with flowers (sitting atop the pizza box)



Checklist
Invitations (can use 3x5 index card and create birthday "recipe")
Buy pizza dough and sauce (ask your favorite pizzeria if they'll sell you dough and sauce)
Purchase items for party favor/goody bag (visit dollar store, craft shop, discount store) and assemble
Supplies to make hats (poster board, tissue paper, crayons, stickers, etc.)
Fruit
& skewers for kabobs
Cake/ice cream/candles
Organize games

Cost (based on 10 children)
Poster board - one board makes 10 hats 2/$1.00 (30"x40" board, can cut 10 4" strips)
Tissue paper - 1 pkg at dollar store  $1.00
Pizza dough $4.00
Pizza sauce   $3.00
Shredded cheese $3.00 (2 8oz bags)
Other toppings (pepperoni, veggies) $5.00
Ice cream $2.00 1/2 gallon
Cake Mix $1.00
Toppings $5.00
Fruit kabobs $8.00
Fabric for aprons- 2 1/2- 3 yds  $4.00-6.00 (find on clearance - Walmart is a great source)
Bias tape for aprons - $2.00
Favors (measuring cup, measuring spoons, wooden spoon and mini rolling pin) $40.00
Balloons - 3/$1.00
Total:  $80.00 for 10 children
Cost per child: $8.00 per child
